Applying for Vietnam visa on arrival

3 Reasons to Choose Vietnam Visa on Arrival in Hong Kong

It is very fortunate for those who wish to contact the Vietnam embassy in Hong Kong to apply for Vietnam visa as there is one of such offices in the country.

Its address is:

  • Address: 15/F, Great Smart Tower, 230 Wan Chai Road, Wan Chai, HONG KONG, CHINA
  • Phone: (852) 2591 4517
  • Fax: (852) 2591 4524
  • Email: [email protected]

It will cause no problem if your place is just near to the embassy. It causes difficulty if you live far from the embassy. Why you have to be stuck in this when you have an easier way to obtain a valid visa for Vietnam. It is called Vietnam visa on arrival.

There are 3 reasons why you should choose this kind of visa:

1. Convenience

Its application requires you no travel at all. It means that whether you live near or far the embassy, no problem arises from distance at all. To apply for this kind of visa, you only need a device with internet access to submit visa application form and get visa approval letter via email, a place to print your visa approval letter. No more.

2. Simplicity

Not requiring as much information as application for Vietnam visa at embassy, application for Vietnam visa on arrival requires applicants to provide as little information as position. It includes:

  • Contact information (name, email and phone number)
  • Visa information (visa type, purpose of visit and proposed duration in Vietnam);
  • Applicant information (full name, date of birth, gender, passport number, passport expiry date and nationality).

The whole process to obtain a visa on arrival is described as following:

  1. Step 1: Fill out online Vietnam visa application
  2. Step 2: Make payment of service fee.
  3. Step 3: Receive visa approval letter via email within 1 or 2 working days.
  4. Step 4: Get visa stamped at entry point in Vietnam airport.

3. Application for many travelers in the same form

Upon applying for Vietnam visa online, you can add as many travelers to your order as you like, so it may save your time spent to fill out offline form at embassy in which you have to provide information of each. So you have to repeat a lot of shared information (visa type, visa duration, purpose of visit) for several times or need many people to complete their own form.

These are 3 reasons why you should choose visa on arrival when applying for Vietnam visa in Hong Kong. Be a smart traveler with the best choice.

Does a Singapore citizen need a visa to enter Vietnam?

I am Singapore citizen and carry Singapore passport valid to Nov.15/2015. Do I need a visa to enter Vietnam? (Marios, from Singapore)

Dear Marios,

Please be noted that as a Singapore passport holder, you don’t need to apply for Vietnam Visa for stay of maximum 30 days. In case you want to stay longer in Vietnam, you are highly recommended to apply for a Vietnam Visa in Singapore before your departure as it is currently very difficult to extend visa for those enjoying Vietnam visa exemption and visa extension will cost you much money. Except for a visa obtained at the Vietnam Embassy, you can apply for visa on arrival to get a visa stamped at Vietnam international airports.

For stay of 2 months, we would like to suggest you 3 month single entry visa by submitting a visa application form here: https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.

How much will I have to pay for Vietnam Visa on arrival from Singapore?

We are Dutch and now living in Singapore. My family and I are planning to apply for visa on arrival to Vietnam. How much will I have to pay for VOA?

Dear Rachel,

We’re pleased when knowing that you and your family have chosen the most convenient and fastest way to get a visa to Vietnam, which is visa on arrival service (VOA). Fortunately, your nationality has been supported VOA, therefore you and your family can apply online Vietnam visa from Singapore. Please be noted that you need to pay two kinds of fee to get Vietnam visa: Service fee and Stamping fee.

The service fee is what you pay for doing all the paperwork for you to submit your visa application to Vietnam Immigration Department to process you visa approval letter. It depends on which type of visa you have already applied for (1 month single or multiple, 3 months single or multiple). Besides, you have to pay for the Stamping fee directly at Immigration Officers in cash at your arrival airport. You can see the details of service and stamping fee at: https://www.vietnam-visa.com/vietnam-visa-fees/

We hope that this information is clear to you. Wish you and your family have a good time in Vietnam.

Unknown names on my visa approval letter

I received my approval letter, but I found names of some unknown people on the letter? Does it trouble me? I want a private one? Can I? Hana

Dear Hana,

Please don’t worry at all. There is no problem with that approval letter. You still get visa stamped at the airport with that letter. The other names in your visa approval letter are just names of those whose visa requests were processed at a time with yours by Vietnam Immigration Department.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience.

For the next application, if you want to have a private letter, please send us an email after submitting your application and we will send your request to the Immigration Department to process a private letter for you.

Have a nice day,

What if I change my arrival airport to get Vietnam visa?

What if I change my arrival airport when I already got my visa approval letter?

There is no need to worry about this. After having your visa approval letter in hand, you can enter Vietnam via any of three international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang) to get visa stamped with that letter no matter which airport you put in your Vietnam visa application form.
