Differences between visa on arrival and visa obtained at Vietnam Embassy

If in the past, foreigners who wanted to apply for a visa had only one way – contact the Vietnam embassy for visa application, the situation is different today. With the open policy to welcome more and more visitors, foreigners will find it much easier to get a visa for Vietnam.

Currently there are two ways to handle Vietnam visa application:  applying Vietnam visa at Embassy (traditional way, visa picked up at Vietnam Embassies) or applying for a visa on arrival (visa picked up at Vietnam International Airports).

However, please keep in mind that each option has its own applicable applicants and procedure. Following are some major points indicating the differences between these two options.
