We are a group of 4 Indian Nationals working in Singapore. We are planning to Travel to Vietnam by Air and enter through Da Nang Airport.

What is the procedure for getting visa for Vietnam?

3. Receive visa approval letter within 2 working days via email;
4. Get visa stamped upon arrival at Vietnam airport (Da Nang in this case).

Having had to do an urgent change of plans, departing for Vietnam from Singapore tomorrow. Does anyone know if we could go to Vietnamese Embassy same day and get a Vietnam Visa and what their requirements are.

We are not sure whether the Vietnam embassy in Singapore can provide you Vietnam visa on the same day or not as there is no information available on their website.

However, if you travel to Vietnam by air, you can apply for Vietnam visa online to get your visa approval letter via email within 1 working day or even 4 working hours if you use super-urgent visa service, and then all of you can bring this letter to board the flight and get visa stamped upon arrival at Vietnam airport. This kind of visa is called visa on arrival.

Regarding your question, please be inform that as a Taiwanese citizen, you have two ways to obtain a Vietnam visa:

1. Apply for Vietnam visa in Vietnam Embassy in Singapore.

If you choose this option, please kindly contact the embassy for more information for required documents, processing time, procedure as well as fee.

2. Apply for Vietnam visa on arrival if you travel to Vietnam by air.

This option is highly recommended if you travel to Vietnam by air. To apply for this kind of visa, you do not need to provide any documents but to fill out an online application for visa approval letter at: https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html.

After that, you will need to pay for service fee online. It is US $21 for a 1-month single entry tourist visa for Vietnam.

And then, after 2 working days at maximum, you will get your visa approval letter (an official permission allowing you to board the flight to Vietnam).

Finally, you will pick up full visa at Vietnam airport upon your landing in the country by presenting your original passport, visa approval letter, entry and exit form and stamping fee (US $25).

So, total cost for a 1-month single entry visa is US $46.

Additionally, you can submit your application form at any time as you wish.

I’m Belgian passport holder and am traveling to Vietnam in this August for 5 days only from Singapore. Do I need a Vietnam visa, or can I pay an amount of money to enter Vietnam without visa, assuming an equal amount to be spent to get a visa, as I think getting a visa may be much more complicated?

Please be informed that a valid Vietnam visa is required to all Belgian citizens traveling to Vietnam for any purpose. You cannot pay any amount of money as an exchange for Vietnam visa exemption, you need to obtain one before your travel.

But the case you think is not. Getting a Vietnam visa for Belgians has been made much easier. Now, you can obtain a visa in either of two following options:

1. Getting a visa at a local Vietnam embassy. It can be Vietnam embassy in Singapore or Vietnam Embassy in Belgium or in any country which is the most convenient for you.
2. Getting a Vietnam visa on arrival. This way is highly recommended if you travel to Vietnam by air. It is very convenient. You can see more about Vietnam visa application for Belgians at https://vietnamvisa.be/.
