Over 40% decrease of Vietnam visa stamping fee

Vietnamvisa.sg would like to notify all visitors of good news that from November 23, 2015, the fee for picking up visa on arrival (VOA) at Vietnam airport will drop by over 40%. It was approved by the Ministry of Finance under the Circular No. 157/2015/TT-BTC prescribing the regime on the collection, management, and use of fees for passports, visas, and papers for entry, exit, transit, and residence in Vietnam.

When the Circular comes to effect on November 23, 2015, the VOA users are entitled to a very preferential cost of stamping visa. It will be only US$25 for 1 single entry visa and US$50 for 1 multiple entry visa valid for up to 3 months instead of the current US$45 and US$95 respectively.

Is it good news? Now, application for Vietnam visa on arrival is not only simple and convenient but also cost-saving?

From what I have read we need a single entry visa but then on other websites it says we need a multiple entry visa as we will be going through border control.

Which visa do we need?

1-year Vietnam visa

I am planning to apply for Vietnam visa for my 8 months in Vietnam. I would like to obtain a 1 year visa with multiple entries.

Hi Mel Potter,

Thank you for contacting me.

Regarding your question, we would like to inform you that at the moment we can process 3-month multiple entry visa to Vietnam for you at maximum. You can contact the most convenient Vietnam embassy to know whether they can arrange 1-year visa for you or not. If not, you can apply for a 3-month visa and then extend it when it expires or leave Vietnam by its expiry date and come back with a new visa. The later option is highly recommended since the visa extension now is costly and time-taking.

We hope this information helps. Should you need any further information, please let us know.

Kind regards,
